It's eBay Time!

It's that time again... I'm starting a listing spree on eBay.  I just relisted a couple pairs of boots and drastically lowered the price... practically brand new!! Check them out

More to be listed this weekend... West Elm pillows, Garnet Hill queen duvet, purses, more shoes.  I'm feeling the urge to purge.

Catching Up

I figured now was as good a time as any to squeeze a post in... considering I've been lying awake for the past 3 1/2 hours.  Funny how you can be exhausted and still not able to sleep.

Things have been quite busy around our house.  With J working crazy hours, I haven't had much time to jump on the computer... and I crash and burn as soon as Finley does lately.  One exciting tidbit-- J and I went on a date night last Saturday!  Okay, so maybe that's just exciting for us.  Seriously.  It was huge.  We got a sitter for the third time ever and went out to celebrate my birthday.  It's been eons since we've really celebrated any birthdays, and since it fell on a weekend this year, I was not passing up the opportunity!  I can see why we don't do it often (as in 3 times in 2 years often!).  The sitter alone cost us $75.  We've decided that we need to make an effort to do it at least once a quarter in order to keep our sanity... or maybe I decided that.  Either way, I'm going to make it happen.

I didn't ask for much for my birthday.  Actually, I only asked for a date night and a new iPod.  I blaze through iPods like they're candy.  After running my last half marathon with my iPhone, I knew it was time to break down and buy something smaller.  Today, my brand new Nano arrived.  I can't wait to start using it.  I had planned to get a Shuffle because it clips on, but I couldn't pass up the (three times as expensive) Nano when I realized it clips on, too, and has radio capability.  Plus, I like being able to have multiple playlists that I can choose from.  If you order from Apple, you can have it engraved.  My first choice was deemed inappropriate.  Oops.  (For inquiring minds, it was the blunt message, "Get off your ***.")  I settled for "Shake your booty".  Which leads me to...

Y'all... I have been to the gym four times this week.  I mean, sweating so hard my vision is blurry.  This is a miracle.  Why am I telling you this?  Because I think that hearing someone else is doing something to get in shape is motivating.  My friend, Cyndi, set a walking goal for August.  She posted pics on Instagram and updates on Facebook.  Every time I saw her posts, I thought, "Why am I not doing something too?"  Goals are good!  So, if you think it's weird that I posted a view of me doing crunches on Instagram, too bad.  It motivates me, and who knows, maybe it motivates someone else, too.  Having someone to be accountable to makes me want to keep it up.  Anyone want to join me in a shape up challenge?  I'm not talking The Biggest Loser-- I'm talking accountability partners.  Who's in?  If you want, check out my workout board on Pinterest.  I also have one for healthy eating. (Don't confuse it with the yum, cake, cookie and dessert boards.  Those are deadly.)  Do any of you have Pinterest boards related to healthy living?  I'd love to know about them!  Do you have songs you love to hear while working out?  I need some new ones and am not up on all of the new stuff.  Leave a comment with your favorites!

Next week, little man and I are traveling to visit my little brother in his new town-- Houston.  Any readers from that area?  I'm very excited for the trip.  Since he graduated, he scored an engineering job there (making more than me straight out of gate!) and just made the move from AR last week.  He asked me to come down to help him pick out furniture.  Decorating with someone else's money-- how could I pass that up?  My mom and step-dad are going to drive down for the visit, as well.  I miss my family so much and cannot wait for this trip!

A couple of days ago, I finally made the effort to start listing some things on Ebay.  This task has been on my list for a year now!  I don't have everything up, but it's a good start.  I have a few West Elm pillows to list still, my huge rubber stamp collection and more shoes.  You'll notice the theme is never worn/used or used once or twice.  Sad, but I'm finally letting go!  I'm even parting ways with three pair of cowboy boots in awesome shape.  If you're a reader and you bid on something, let me know!  I'd love to hear from you.  As I post more items, I'll drop a note here to give you a heads up first.

Now that the sun is up, I'm going to sign off.  I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Abbie's Closet: Bags

I still have yet to list anything on Ebay, as I mentioned in early December.  I have, however, taken a bunch of pictures of the items I plan to list.  I thought I would post a few of them here to see if any of you are interested before I list them.  I have already sold the Coach purses I previously mentioned, but I have several others available.  Please email me from the contact page if you are interested, and I will send details.  Thanks!

Abbie's Clearance Sale...

Coming soon...

I will once again be clearing out my closets, nooks and crannies, and you can benefit! I will be listing most of the items on Ebay and will post pics here of what I'm listing, for the most part. This weekend, J's parents are flying in for the week, so I plan to have most of it listed next week while they're here to help out. What can you expect?

-My wedding dress! Monique Lhuillier Scarlet
-Gocco PG-11 with inks (never used!)
-Michael Kors clogs
-2 Coach bags... 1 brand new with the tags still on and the other is a barely used Legacy bag with striped interior (harder to find!)
-Citizens of Humanity (28) and 7 for All Mankind (27) maternity jeans
-shoes
-some of my beloved boot collection (sad, but I just don't wear them enough now that I'm not working at the rodeo)
-scrapbooking/stamping supplies (a craft I never fully committed to)
-coats

If you're interested in learning about any of these in advance, shoot me an email. I'd love to work something out with a reader!

Abbie's Closet: Frye Austin Cut-out Boots Size 6 For Sale

I've decided to part with one of my favorite pair of boots. Unfortunately, my feet and (huge) calves just won't fit into them... and not just because I'm pregnant. Last summer, I noticed that it was a bit more challenging to get them on. Apparently, my feet had changed (i.e. got fat), so they just didn't fit any longer. Bummer. My loss is your gain... anyone interested? They're a size 6. They've only been worn a couple of times and look great with dresses and skirts, as well as jeans and pants. Scoop them up for $75! A total steal... and you can hardly find them anymore (except for a couple pair on Ebay, which is where I'll list these if no one wants them here)!!

Shoot me an email at nextdoorblogger {at} gmail {dot} com if you're interested.

More Items Listed

I listed a few more items tonight.
Men's RedWing Shoes boots in size 9.5-- very similar to those showcased at JCrew and Sundance right now! Almost brand new-- worn only once.
NWT JCrew Lisa dress in size large
Down vest-- Brand new with tags still on!

Steve Madden heels in 6.5

The items below will be listed in the next couple of days. I am trying to find smaller boxes in order to keep shipping costs low.

You have to see the texture on these-- it's like hair! They've never been worn outside--just tried on indoors. I swear I've been saving them for just the right outfit, but I know I'll never bring myself to wear them. They're too purdy.
Like Chacos? I have too many....

The Big Purge

As promised, I've started my Ebay listings again. Take advantage of my overspending. ;) If you buy one of my listings, make sure you let me know you found it on the blog! Also, do yourself a favor... use your Ebates account to save a little moolah while you're at it. Here's what I've listed so far.
I have more to come, including two Coach bags once I find boxes to mail them in. (One is brand new with the tags still on!!) I'll try to list more tonight, but I'll let you know when I list more. Happy shopping!

Slowly But Surely...

I apologize for being fairly MIA this month. Things seem to be a bit crazy around here. I wonder if they're just the same, but I might have neglected them during the planning... it's a thought. :) I hope to be back to blogging (with recaps) shortly. To tide you over until then, I am going to direct you to an amazing Lela Rose dress for sale on Ebay. If you sign up for Ebates, you can get 2% cash back!

Winner, Winner... Chicken Dinner!

No, I'm not hosting a giveaway... but I did add more items to my Ebay store that you can win. Everything that has been added is brand new: JCrew espadrilles, running shoes, dresses, a shower curtain. Sad, my friends. I definitely have a problem! I'll keep you updated as I add more items.

Destash = Ebay Listings!

I've been going through my closets and drawers lately. I have way too many items in my home that are not being used, so I've decided to start selling my excess on Ebay again. When you find things with tags on them, you know it's time for them to go! I'd rather others benefit from my overzealous purchasing! Here is a sneak peek of what I've listed so far today.

I'm planning to list a Marimekko shower curtain that has never been used and loads of AMuse stamps. I went a little nuts purchasing stamps thinking I was going to become a scrapbooking queen and card maker. I gave up the idea... only after spending beaucoup $$ on the hobby. So, it's time to recoup some of the expenses. I'll clue you in when I list new items. Don't forget to use Ebates before purchasing on Ebay to save yourself a little, too!
