A Brownie for Breakfast... and Beef Jerky for Lunch
Seriously. I am having one of those days. I can not stop eating whatever I stumble upon... literally. Someone put brownies in the kitchen at work this morning, so I took one. Then, I got hungry before lunch, so I ate an entire bag of beef jerky. Needless to say, I was no longer hungry for lunch. I'm blaming it on that friendly time of the month.... or the fact that none of the catering options have gotten back to me in over a week. I seriously need to get my act together!
Do you ever have those days? Or am I the only bored or stressed eater? Okay... no more griping. Tonight is the turning point!

Weight Watchers Wednesday
Well, I've already blabbed about my weigh in (ahem, down 13.6), so I'll just leave you with a new recipe this week. I thought it might be nice to have another dessert. How about you?
| Ingredients |
- 2 Tbsp semisweet chocolate, grated or chopped
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 large burrito-size wheat flour tortilla(s), (6 inch) or plain
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp powdered sugar
| Instructions |
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of chocolate, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon over half of each tortilla. Fold tortillas in half to cover ingredients.
- Set quesadillas in a dry skillet and cook over medium heat until speckled with brown spots on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Sprinkle each with 1/2 teaspoon of powdered sugar; serve. Yields 1 quesadilla per serving.

Wedding Wednesday: Cake
We were almost late for our cake tasting. Why? I'll show you. (Poor quality due to camera phone)
I could have touched this one... no magic retouching here. This cow almost took out my side mirror.
Ever since our cake tasting on Saturday, I just can't stop thinking about cake. It was that good. We haven't decided on flavors or design yet-- we do have about 9 months. We only had the tasting that day because she was already doing a tasting for two other couples. The other main "cake lady" in town is retiring, so our choices were more limited than before... and the availability of our cake lady would be even more limited. If we didn't book soon, then we could miss out. Once we tasted her cakes, we knew we didn't want to miss out. Here are the latest cake designs that I've been drooling over... (Cakes via Black Eiffel, Bride's Cafe, & Once Wed)
This first one is the design that would be the cheapest.
This next one would be cream with a green design and more expensive.
This one is my favorite and probably the most labor intensive... but I love it. Depending on your screen, you might not be able to tell, but there are green stripes here and there.
My white wedding cake might just fall by the wayside (if the budget doesn't break from these beauties.) Are you going with a simple cake? Or do you prefer the decadently designed ones?
