The Mother's Day That Went Awry

Mother's Day didn't quite turn out how I'd hoped. I sent flowers to my mom, step-mom, grandmother and J's grandmother. Out of the four orders, only one actually worked out. My mom forgot to tell me that she was going to be traveling for a week, and she had flown out before they were delivered. My grandparents decided to make a trip to Branson last minute (even though there were tornadic winds), and her flowers were "left on the doorstep". J's grandmother ended up in the hospital, which is horrible in and of itself. Hers were left on the doorstep as well, but a family member brought them to the hospital. The only person that actually received their flowers like they were intended was my step-mom... and hers was an azalea plant, which would have been fine if left. Urgh.

One thing's for sure... no flower shipments for Mother's Day next year! :) Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful mothers in the blogisphere!
